laughing, humming,

Easter is a time of love,
of family, and of peace.
It is a time when we say
a quiet thanks for all that we have
and for all that the future holds.
Easter is a feeling in our hearts
of hope and faith and trust.
It is a day of miracles;
a day when our dreams seem a little closer;
a time of retrospection for what has been,
and anticipation of all that will be.
And it is a time for remembering
with love and appreciation
the people in our lives
who make a difference...
people like you.

Although it happened long ago,
that first glad Easter day;
within the true believer's heart,
it's just as real today.
The Roman guards who kept the watch,
the early morning gloom,
the angel's words, "He is not here"
resounding from the tomb.
And oh, the joy in Mary's heart
while in the garden fair
to see her blessed Lord appear
upon the pathway there.
Although it happened long ago,
it still is true today;
oh, let our hearts rejoice and sing,
the stone is rolled away.

Oh, the Easter Bunny's coming, she's the one I long to see.
She's got eggs in her basket, she's bringing them to me.
I'm looking out the window and I hope she gets here quick,
I need marshmallow bunnies and a little chocolate chick.
Oh, I love Easter Sunday and it comes round every year
Right now I'm so excited cause the Easter Bunny's here!
The Easter eggs are lovely, with swirls on them because,
The Easter Bunny paints them with her little furry paws.
We'll take the eggs and hide them, all up and down the hill,
And I'll go back to find them with my little brother, Bill.
We will pile up all the goodies and I'll eat all I can take,
And then end Easter Sunday with a big old belly ache. |

I said to the third rabbit, "Jump, jump, jump!"
The fourth little rabbit went sniff, sniff, snuff.
I said to the fourth rabbit, "That is enough!"
The fifth little rabbit went creep, creep, creep.
I said to the fifth rabbit, "It's time to sleep!"
